Description:

As part of the 2024 Pre-conference courses, we will be offering the Emergency Management Accreditation Program (EMAP) US&R Standard Training Course.

The ANSI/EMAP 5-2022 Urban Search and Rescue Standard Training course will provide a US&R taskforce with information and tools that will assist them in evaluating their administrative capabilities using the National ANSI/EMAP 5-2022 US&R Standard. Specifically, the US&R taskforce will learn about the US&R Standard, self-assessment, on-site peer assessment and the certification process. The US&R Standard training provides the taskforces guidance in developing or maintaining a program in management, finance, membership, incident management, notification, deployment, training, exercise, resource management and logistics.

The certification process works as validation for the National US&R Resource Catalog ensuring resiliency in our National US&R capability to respond to catastrophic disasters throughout our country.
